This magnificent Longview Green Home from Group 41 Architects was designed for a retired physician and his wife as a country retreat and family gathering place. The five copper roof forms, an homage to the five member of the nuclear family of the clients, are anchored by vertical “sails” of stacked local flagstone. Comprising over 3800 square feet of interior space, and over 2100 square feet of outdoor decks and patios, the entire green home is designed for indoor/outdoor living.

The roofs pitch up and outward, making every space expand toward the spectacular views south down the length of Lake Lure in the Mountains of western North Carolina.

Set amid densely forested hilltops, on a steeply sloped lakefront site, the home has four bedrooms and four and a half baths.
